Before I can talk about how to make money with AdSense let me first say that there is money to be made with Google AdSense. The Google AdSense program is on pace to pay out 6+ billion dollars in 2011 to AdSense partners. If you don’t think 6+ billion dollars is a lot of money then quit reading this post right now.

So Google paid out 1.83 Billion to Google AdSense partners in Q3 of 2011. The AdSense program as we knows pays out 68% of the revenue it receives. So Google’s profit from Q3 of 2011 was roughly 1 Billion. That’s all great but how do you and I start making some of this money from AdSense?

How to Make Money with AdSense?

This is actually how not to make money with AdSense and then in later posts I’ll explain how I make money with AdSense and how you can too. The old way of making money with AdSense does not work. This was a business model that did work 2-3 years ago and was preached by all the big gurus. Most people today think that this is the only way you can legitimately earn serious money from AdSense every month. What is this business model?

This is the 100+ site approach. Where you’d go buy a keyword rich domain, slap up 5 pages of content, build a few links, and then rinse and repeat. That doesn’t work. Google (the search engine not the AdSense side) does not like THIN sites. These 5 pages sites that are there to rank for a few keywords are considered WEB SPAM and Google’s algorithm now penalizes these types of sites.

So How Do I Earn Money With AdSense Legitimately?

If you’re willing to put in the time and effort you can build authoritative websites that the search engines love. These are sites that will regularly produce content almost like a blog. The content will be SEO’d very well on-page and the site needs to get a steady, gradually increasing, and amount of links each and every month.

This can be done by anyone who is willing to be consistent and won’t give up after a month or 2. What are the results? Some of these sites can start generating some serious monthly recurring revenue relatively quickly. We are talking 5-10k a month with very little continual work.
